YEREVAN, 26 June. /ARKA/. Armenian customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle in 12 kg of marijuana and cocaine from Iran, Armenian State Revenue Committee reported.

It sid a Peugeot car arriving from Iran was subjected to customs inspection at Agarak checkpoint on Tuesday to check information about the presence of a suspicious secret compartment in the car. Besides, the behaviour of the driver seemed suspicious to the customs officers.

During the inspection in the back of the seat in the secret compartment were found drugs - more than 12.1 kg of marijuana and about 4.42 grams of cocaine. The driver - citizen of Iran A.A. -was detained.-0-
