Average wage in Armenia up 0.8 percent

YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. The average gross wage in Armenia in the first two months of 2021 grew by 0.8% when compared to the same period in 2020, to 190,493 drams, the National Statistical Committee said.

In February 2021, compared to January 2021, it decreased by 2%, and compared to February 2020, increased by 0.9%.

The average salary in the public sector increased more than in the private sector. Thus, in January-February 2021, compared to January-February 2020, the average gross salary in the public sector grew by 2.2% to 165,238 drams. In February 2021 compared to January 2021, it grew by 1.2%, and by 2% compared to February 2020.

In the private sector, in January-February 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, the average gross salary increased by 0.4% to 203,045 drams. At the same time, in February 2021, compared to January 2021, it was down 3.3%, and up 0.6% compared to February 2020. ($1 - 528.32 drams). –0--
