Breaking Stereotypes in Partnership with Ameriabank: Women, Technology and New Trends at DisruptHR Yerevan
YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. The DisruptHR event held in Yerevan under the slogan Women Empowerment was dedicated to Women's Month, running from March 8 to April 7.
DisruptHR in Armenia is represented by Cascade People & Business organization, with Ameriabank acting as a leader in the financial and technological field as the main partner.
DisruptHR is a global movement aimed at changing traditional approaches to human resources (HR) management, corporate culture and leadership. Its format is short 5-minute speeches where speakers use slides to present the audience with ideas that can fundamentally change HR, management and corporate culture.
According to Arpi Karapetyan, founder and CEO of Cascade People & Business, the DisruptHR movement aimed at connecting current and future leaders is widespread around the world, including 30 countries and more than 150 cities.
“In 2020, we brought DisruptHR to Armenia and this is the sixth event in Yerevan. The goal is to give the local HR community the opportunity to voice their ideas in both Armenian and international platforms,” she said.
She added that 10 speakers participated in the event, whose speeches were related to the development of women's potential, particularly leadership, empathy, modern HR trends, the power that women possess and how this power can be compiled using AI.
According to Anna Vardanyants, head of human resources at Ameriabank, the world, technology and the HR management are constantly changing, and you need to be prepared for these changes.
“DisruptHR is about breaking stereotypes, seeing new opportunities and looking at problems from a different angle. At the same time, the event gives participants the opportunity to network, share experiences, and learn something new from each other,” she said.
Vardanyants emphasized that this is the second time Ameriabank joins this initiative, as the format allows taking a look at HR management beyond the traditional framework.
“It is very important for Ameriabank to create culture, form trends, change and develop professional environment, share experience and facilitate all these changes,” she said.
Vardanyants emphasized that the HR management direction is important today because in the digital world, identifying human potential and its innovative use will be the key to success in the future.
Speaking about the role of women in these processes, she noted that the best results come from the right match between the energy of women and men.
“Where strength, purposefulness, vision and strategy are needed men's energy is very important, and where care, a more balanced approach to risks, a more multidimensional view of the situation is needed the beauty of women's thinking is revealed. For me, it's about striking the right balance,” she said.
The event was attended by more than 200 participants, including representatives of the business community, HR specialists and students. DisruptHR Yerevan will be an ongoing event and all speaker presentations are posted in English at disrupthr.co.
