The legendary French singer Charles Aznavour, who died yesterday aged 94, will be buried in a French monastery of the 12th century in Montfort-l'Amaury commune in the neighborhood of Paris, Interfax reports.

YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/. The legendary French singer Charles Aznavour, who died yesterday aged 94, will be buried in a French monastery of the 12th century in Montfort-l'Amaury commune in the neighborhood of Paris, Interfax reports.
According to French media sources, one of the singer’s houses is located in this commune, and he frequently spent time here with his family.
There is no information in the report about the funeral date.
According to Europe 1 radio channel, the Élysée Palace is now considering room for organization a ceremony in Yerevan in October to pay tribute to Aznavour.
The ceremony may be held as part of the summit of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, which will take place in Yerevan ob October 11 and 12 and will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Aznavour was initially planned to arrive in Yerevan with the French leader for this event.
Many politicians expressed their condolences over the death of Charles Aznavour.
Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, tweeted that Aznavour was “A Parisien who became a true icon of French song and a passionate ambassador for Armenia around the world.”
The French media also reports that Aznavour was planning a tour across France.
His performance in the commune in the western suburbs of Paris Boulogne-Billancourt was scheduled for November 8.
The singer was expected to give concerts also in Tours, Dijon, Rouen and Strasbourg.
