YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. The average monthly salary in Armenia in December 2024 amounted to 353,279 drams, increasing by 6.2% compared to the same period last yea, according to the Ministry of Economy.

In the public sector the average salary in December 2024 stood at 314,226 drams (4.6% growth), while in the private sector at 369,072 drams (6.6% growth).

The highest paying industries in December 2024 were.

Financial and insurance activities - AMD 1,286,422

Information and communication - AMD 1,015,249

Mining and quarrying - AMD 821,133

Compared to December 2023, an increase in average salaries was recorded in all employment sectors. At the same time, the highest growth was recorded in the following industries:

Financial and insurance activities: +20.7%

Agriculture, forestry and fishing: +14.7%

Culture, entertainment and recreation: +12.8%. -0-
