Gastroscopy room opens at Muratsan University Hospital with latest generation equipment
YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/. A gastroscopy room was opened at the Muratsan University Hospital, Ameriabank press service reported.
The expansion of gastroscopy services at the Muratsan University Hospital is an important step towards improving the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired diseases among children, the bank said in a press release. It added that gastroscopy room is also necessary in cases of esophageal burns by chemical substances and other cases.
The gastroscopy system has been donated to the Muratsan University Hospital by the Children's Health Foundation of Armenia. With the latest generation Olympus Gastroscopy system, about 800 children will have the opportunity to be properly examined and receive an accurate diagnosis.
"This donation from the Foundation was made possible due to the support of Ameriabank CJSC, its permanent partner and the major supporting structure of the Foundation, as well as Art Lunch LLC, gg, Goya CJSC and the Foundation's own resources," the press release said.
The Rector of Yerevan State Medical University Armen Muradyan noted that the number of applications to the Muratsan University Hospital Muratsan reaches 86,000 per year and the clinic provides services to the children in need of medical care from the regions and the capital.
"The opening of the gastroscopy room, the donation of equipment by sponsors, I think, is of key importance. The health of every child is precious and important to us. We should have equipment, which due to its innovativeness as well as opportunities will provide, will allow children to get the best," he said, adding that issues related to children in general are in the focus of the hospital, because the investments made in this area are the most gratifying in the field of health care. He expressed gratitude to the benefactors for their understanding and assistance.
Director of the Foundation, Armen Martirosyan, stressed that the decision to support the Muratsan University Hospital in acquiring the latest generation gastroscopy system was made based on the importance and urgency of the task and in daily cooperation with the hospital administration.
"The opening of the gastroscopy room and the new equipment will not only improve the quality of medical care for those who need it, but will also stimulate the development of gastroenterological services," said Hripsime Apresyan, the head of the intensive care unit at the Muratsan University Hospital.
Children's Health Foundation of Armenia was officially started on June 1, 2021 and during the past year it supported around 1,670 children, 14 of which have received significant support, up to USD 100 thousand.
