Hunting season opens in Armenia

YEREVAN, August 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Ministry of Environment announced today the opening of the annual hunting season, saying it has designated the list of legally huntable species and the dates and the areas where they can can be killed in 2021-2022.
The quotas are set by the Ministry of Environment which is responsible for protecting and preserving wildlife in Armenia.
The next day after the official opening of the season, the hunting unions will be issued licenses in a pre-registered number, which will be distributed among the members of the hunting unions.
The ministry called on citizens who go hunting and who have the appropriate licenses to strictly observe all safety rules and to kill as many animals as specified in their licenses.
According to the official data, only a fraction of the officially registered hunters go out shooting the animals every year. -0-
