Karabakh students got computers in the frames of the program “NUR”

Stepanakert school students N2 got yesterday personal portative computers in the frames of the program “NUR” (“New educational strategy”) of the Fund “Fruitful Armenia” which will be used in the process of school learning, Public TV of Artsakh informs.
STEPANAKERT, April 4. /ARKA/. Stepanakert school students N2 got yesterday personal portative computers in the frames of the program “NUR” (“New educational strategy”) of the Fund “Fruitful Armenia” which will be used in the process of school learning, Public TV of Artsakh informs.
In the official ceremony were present NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, Minister of Education and Science Vladik Khachatryan, representatives of Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) and the program “NUR”.
“NUR” Program manager Sebastian Arias Duval said that the program will allow the students to get introduced to the external world and present Karabakh to the world.
Vladik Khachatryan said that in the nearest future the issue of wireless Internet provision at schools will be determined, which are included in the first phase of program implementation.
“In the second phase of the program the government plans to solve the issue of accessibility of high-speed Internet in rural schools of the country”, said Khachatryan.
In Stepanakert and Shushi by the end of November 2011 the virtual phase of training courses of teachers was conducted in the frames of the program “NUR”.
The goal of the program “NUR” (“New educational strategy”) is introduction of new educational principles in the system of school education based on the agreement signed between Argentinean entrepreneur of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian and Government of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on behalf of NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan.
The program is implemented in cooperation with the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) with the support of NKR Education and Science Ministry.
In the frames of the first phase of the program “NUR” personal portative computers will be provided to 3.6 thousand students of primary classes of NKR schools. The computers will have Internet access and are adapted to general education programs of NKR, as well as allow to fill the software if needed.
Independent commercial project “Fruitful Armenia” was established in 2005. Its goal is to provide the development of the farms through the promotion of development of rural communities and expansion of perspectives of stable development of agriculture. –0—
