According to the latest census data based on the 2022 population census, the permanent population of Armenia as of January 1, 2025, was 3,075.8 thousand people, compared to 2,991.2 thousand people as of January 1, 2023.

According to the latest census data based on the 2022 population census, the permanent population of Armenia as of January 1, 2025, was 3,075.8 thousand people, compared to 2,991.2 thousand people as of January 1, 2023. This is according to data from the National Statistical Committee of the country.
The urban population was 1,985.5 thousand residents, with 1,141.3 thousand living in Yerevan. The rural population stood at 1,090.3 thousand people.
The population viability index (the ratio of births to deaths in 2024) was 131.6%, compared to 150.5% for the period from January to December 2023.-0-
