Temperature in Yerevan to rise to 41 degrees

YEREVAN, June 25, /ARKA/. The heat waves that have arrived in Armenia from the Arabian deserts will raise temperatures across the country even further, the National Weather Service said.
According to it, the daytime temperatures in the Ararat Valley and its foothills, in Vayots Dzor foothills, in the Syunik valleys and in the capital Yerevan will be 39-41 degrees.
No rains are expected until June 29, and a high-level fire hazard is forecast for these zones, the Weather Service said.
The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is predicted to be higher than normal. The Weather Service urged people to avoid being under the sun from 11:00 am to 17:00 pm.
The wind will be southwest at a speed of 5-10 meters per second. In the Ararat Valley and its foothills in the evening hours the wind gusts can reach 15-20 meters per second. -0-
