Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Alexanyan has won the gold medal of the world championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, beating Germany’s Oliver Adrian Hasler 8:0 in 98-kilogram weight category in the final.

YEREVAN, September 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Alexanyan has won the gold medal of the world championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, beating Germany’s Oliver Adrian Hasler 8:0 in 98-kilogram weight category in the final.
It is the second gold medal of the Armenian team in the championship after Arsen Julfalakyan (75kg) beat Croatia’s Neven Jugai 4:0 in the final on Friday.
On the way to the final Alexanyan defeated Turkmenistan’s Arslan Saparmamedov, Hungary’s Adam Vargu, Belarus’ Alexander Grabovik and Iran’s Hasem Holamrez Rezai.
Aleksanyan is silver medalist of the London Olympics and the World Championship in Budapest in 2013 and the European Championship in Belgrade (2012), in Tbilisi (2013) and in Vantaa (2014). –0--
