Armenia to invest 100 billion drams in new ski resort
YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. About 100 billion drams are planned to be invested in the Myler Mountain Resort ski resort in Yegipatrush (Aparan community, Aragatsotn region).
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, around 27 billion drams have already been invested in the “Myler” project, with an additional 12 billion drams planned for this year.
The sports complex covers an area of 2,070 hectares. For the 2024-2025 season, a 10-seat gondola lift and 21 km of ski slopes will be operational. The resort plans to install 17 cable cars.
In August 2024, the “Myler” area was designated a free economic zone, and “Myler” FEZ LLC was granted the status of its organizer. Currently, there are four free economic zones in Armenia: "Alliance", "Meridian", "Meghri", and ECOS.
As previously noted, the complex is expected to serve 500,000 tourists annually and attract visitors from Russia, Iran, and Europe.
