Armenia's tourism committee draws tourism development strategy for 2020-2030

Armenia's Tourism Committee, an affiliation of the Ministry of Economy, has drawn up a tourism development strategy for 2020-2030, Zhogovurd (People) daily reports.
YEREVAN, November 13. /ARКА/. Armenia's Tourism Committee, an affiliation of the Ministry of Economy, has drawn up a tourism development strategy for 2020-2030, Zhogovurd (People) daily reports.
According to the newspaper, the strategy calls for an annual 10% increase in international tourist visits. As a result, by 2020, some 5.18 million international tourists are to visit the country.
The daily says also that the Ministry of Economy expects that the share of tourism in the country's GDP by 2030 is to grow by 10% annually. According to the strategy, by 2030 the tourism industry is supposed to ensure as many as 130,000 jobs. --0--
