Pro-government MP explains why Armenia will participate in NATO-led military exercises

Armenia is guided exclusively by its own state interests when deciding to participate in military exercises outside its territory, Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the ruling Civil Contract party in parliament said today in retaliation to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, who said earlier that Moscow asked its Armenian partners to provide official explanations regarding Armenian troops participation in NATO-led exercises.

SCR comments on story about opening of Zamanlu Bridge

The Russian-run South Caucasian Railways (SCR) company operating Armenia’s railroads, issued a clarification concerning a report on Yerkir.am on 1 May 2012, which claimed that the new Zamanlu Bridge, constructed by the SCR, had been commissioned three months before its official opening.
