The Government of Armenia recently unveiled the "Crossroads of Peace" project, the basic principles of which make it clear that in case of the reopening of regional communications, the Republic of Armenia will implement border and customs control in its territory through its state institutions, Armenian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Ani Badalyan said Thursday in a comment on a statement made by Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova, who claimed that ' under the tripartite statement dated November 9, 2020, the Russian border guards must control transport communications between Azerbaijan and its exclave Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia.''
