Armenia’s Zvartnots airport in the capital Yerevan and Shirak airport in the second-largest town of Gyumri handled 1,667,173 passengers in the first eight months of 2017, up 25.4% from the year before, the Main Civil Aviation Department said.

Passenger traffic through Armenian airports grew by 28 percent this year
The passenger traffic through Armenia’s international airport Zvartnots in Yerevan and Shirak airport in Gyumri surged by 28.3% in the first four months of this year when compared to the same time span of 2016, to the overall 668 589 people, the chief of the General Department of the Civil Aviation of Armenia Sergey Avetisyan said today.

South Caucasus railways posts 12.6 percent rise in international passenger traffic
The South Caucasus Railways (SCR), a Russian-run company operating Armenia’s railroads, said in a press release today that it transported 1,800 passengers in the first month of 2012 by Yerevan-Tbilisi trains, by 12.6% more than in January 2011, when it transported 1,600 passengers.
