Head of Armenian chief civil aviation department to be sacked
YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Artem Movsisyan, the head of Armenia’s Chief Civil Aviation Department, will be sacked soon, a local daily "Hraparak" (Square) says in its today’s issue.

According to the newspaper, despite official denials, Movsisyan’s resignation is foregone. It reminds that he has been holding this position for 12 years.

"In all likelihood this will be announced in the coming days. Movsisyan is likely to be replaced by deputy economy minister Sergey Avetisyan, who oversees the aviation sector," the newspaper says.

Earlier this newspaper wrote that Movsisyan was involved in a corruption scandal by creating obstacles for German Lufthansa to obtain license for operating flights to Armenia.  The newspaper claims that in return for license Armenian civil aviation officials demanded a bribe and this reached Baghramyan 26 (residence of the president). -0-
