Armenia's foreign trade turnover increased by 1.7% in the first seven months, exceeding $11.53 billion

YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's foreign and mutual trade turnover in January-July 2026, compared to January-July 2025, increased by 1.7% to $11,538,233.6 thousand, according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Moreover, in July 2026, this figure amounted to $1.89 billion, an increase of 6.7% compared to July of the previous year and 9.2% compared to June of this year.

Foreign trade turnover (January-July 2026 compared to January-July 2025)

With the EAEU — $3.35 billion, a decline of 18.4%. With the CIS countries — $3.54 billion, a decline of 15.9%, including:

Russia — $3.12 billion, a decline of 20.5%;

Belarus — $151.1 million, an increase of 28.5%;

Ukraine — $82.6 million, an increase of 36.2%.

With the EU countries — $2.19 billion, an increase of 57.2%, including:

Germany — $334.7 million, an increase of 28.7%;

Italy — $274.3 million, an increase of 8.6%;

Bulgaria — $234.6 million, an increase of 5.1 times.

Top 3 largest foreign trade partners among other countries:

China — $1.81 billion, an increase of 25.6%;

Iran — $437.7 million, an increase of 6.1%;

UAE — $356.5 million, a 72.1% decline.

Exports

Armenia's exports in January-July 2026 decreased by 7.9% compared to January-July 2025, amounting to $4,035,685,400.

In July of this year, this figure was $594.3 million, a 15.7% decrease compared to July last year and an increase of 5.3% compared to June of this year.

With the EAEU — $1.56 billion, a 7.2% decline.

With the CIS countries — $1.63 billion, a 4.6% decline, including:

Russia — $1.44 billion, a 8% decline;

Belarus — $80.5 million, an increase of 7.5%;

Turkmenistan — $31.1 million, an increase of 73.9%. With EU countries — $591.6 million, a 70.7% increase, including:

Bulgaria — $181.6 million, a 5.7-fold increase;

Belgium — $135.8 million, an 89.7% increase;

Germany — $63.2 million, a 2.5% increase.

The top three export volumes among other countries:

China — $651.7 million, a 79.9% increase;

UAE — $325.4 million, a 73.7% decrease;

Iraq — $205.6 million, a 1.1% increase.

The most significant export items:

Mining products — $1.10 billion, a 76.6% increase;

Finished food products — $679.9 million, a 2.1% increase;

Machinery, equipment, and mechanisms — $679.2 million, a 1% decrease.

Imports

The volume of imports to Armenia in January-July 2026 amounted to $7,502,548.2 thousand, an increase of 7.7% compared to January-July 2025. In July of this year, this figure was $1.29 billion, an increase of 21.5% compared to July last year and 11.1% compared to June of this year.

With EU countries — $1.74 billion, an increase of 42.8%, including:

Germany — $275.7 million, an increase of 19.3%;

Italy — $212 million, a decrease of 6%;

The Netherlands — $127.1 million, an increase of 22.8%.

China — $847.7 million, an increase of 10.1%;

Georgia — $523.3 million, an increase of 29%;

Iran — $394 million, an increase of 8.8%.

land, air, and water transport — $852.1 million, an increase of 38.2%;

Mining products — $829.5 million, an increase of 28.3%.
