Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with India's ambassador
YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with Nilakshi Saha Sinha, India’s ambassador to the country, the Ministry reported on Friday.
Armenia considers constructing a copper smelter using leading Indian technology, Papoyan said. He also said Armenia and India should extend cooperation in agriculture and industry, as well as in jewelry manufacturing, suggesting that a showroom of Armenian jewelry be opened in India.
The two parties stressed the importance of international trade shows and business forums for cooperation between business communities of the two countries, and discussed the Crossroads of Peace project that might become an important element in regional economic cooperation.
