President of Armenia to go on official visit to Croatia by end of this year
YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. At a press-conference on Friday President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said he will go on an official visit to Croatia by the end of this year.
“I accepted the invitation of the President of Croatia to have an official visit to his country with pleasure,” he said after his meeting with his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Mesic.
Sargsyan believes his visit to Croatia will contribute to development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic, in his turn, expressed satisfaction that the Head of the Armenian state will visit Croatia so soon.
President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic arrived in Yerevan at the invitation of his Armenian counterpart on the evening of May 21 and will leave on May 23.
During the first visit of the Croatian President to Armenia the sides will set the main priorities and issues of economic cooperation between the two countries. His visit is aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations, as well as at spurring the development of Armenian-Croatian scientific, educational and cultural relations.
In Yerevan Mesic will have meetings with Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan and RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan, and will visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin where he will meet with Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.
Mesic will also meet with the Yerevan State University lecturers and students.
He also intends to visit the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran.
On May 23 the President of Croatia will leave Armenia. G. S. –0--
