YEREVAN, February 28. /ARKA/. International Monetary Fund (IMF) considers its cooperation with the Armenian authorities successful, says the message of IMF Executive Director Dominique Strauss-Khan on the victory of Serge Sargsian in the presidential elections held in Armenia on February 19.
Strauss Khan also pointed out that through IMF-supported programs and technical assistance help implement promising structural reforms bringing to substantial economic growth.
“Having in mind the talk we had in Washington in October, I am convinced that we will maintain good relations also during your rule. I would like to confirm our readiness to continue cooperation with your government to achieve increase in economic growth,” Strauss Khan said and wished Serge Sargsian new achievements.
Over thirteen years of cooperation IMF provided approximately $360mln credit funds with 80% of them extended for 5.5-10 years at annual of 0.5%. –0--
