Armenian government approves for signing agreement on military and technical cooperation with Greece
YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today for signing an agreement on military and technical cooperation with the Greek government.
The proposal for signing the agreement was made by Armenia in 2018, Greece gave its consent. The provisions of the agreement define the areas of cooperation between the parties such as promotion of research on new technologies and military products in order to enhance defense capabilities.
The agreement also calls for technical support for the production of weapons, armaments and explosives, exchange of information and experience in the field of weapons production, research on military products and their production, etc.
The agreement also envisages training of technical personnel, repair and provision of services for the exploitation of military products manufactured in third countries.
An Armenian-Greek commission is to be set up to assess the agreement, present priorities and proposals for further development of cooperation. -0-
