Chief of Staff of Armenian Armed Forces assesses situation on border with Azerbaijan as stable

YEREVAN, January 28. /ARКА/. The situation on the line of contact between Armenia and Azerbaijan is relatively stable, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Edward Asryan said today.
Speaking about the regular bellicose statements of the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Asryan said that "they always worry us."
"Nevertheless, they are only a small part of the operational assessment. We closely monitor both the situation on the border and certain statements," Asryan told reporters at the military pantheon in Yerablur on Tuesday.
He added that citizens are concerned that the enemy continues to remain on the sovereign territory of Armenia.
"We are fulfilling the task set before us - we are following the path of peace, demarcation and delimitation of the border," Asryan said.-0-
