Gata Festival held in Armenian village of Khachik on September 21
YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. The gata festival will be held on September 21 in the village of Khachik in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, the festival organizers reported on Facebook.
The festival will feature a tightrope walker show and performances by dance and song ensembles. Among the participants are Gata Band, singers Vardan Badalyan, Sona Shahgeldyan, musicians Gevorg and David Khachatryan.
Gata is the most common Armenian national pastry made from yeast dough, which has several regional varieties that differ from each other in the proportions of the main components, the nature of the kneading and filling, and other details of the technology. -0-
