The median gross monthly wage in Armenia in March 2016 stood at 186,044 drams ($383 or 26,807 Russian rubles), which was 2.6% more than in February this year, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

The median gross monthly wage in Armenia in March 2016 stood at 186,044 drams ($383 or 26,807 Russian rubles), which was 2.6% more than in February this year, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS). In February 2016 the median gross wage was 181,415 drams, or about 4.5% more than in February 2015.
In February 2016 the highest median gross monthly wage was registered in the southern province of Syunik -.219, 600 drams, and the lowest in Aragatsotn province – 128,300 drams. In capital Yerevan, it was 196,000 drams.
The highest salaries were boasted by financial and insurance sectors - about 373,600 drams, information and communications sectors – 366,300 drams, and mining industry - 342,600 drams.
The most low-paid sectors were culture, entertainment and leisure, where the gross wages amounted to 113,400 drams, agriculture, forestry and fisheries -117,100 drams, accommodation and catering- 118,700 drams and education -119,800 drams.. ($ 1 - 478.56 drams). -0-
