Some $56 million released for repair of Armenia’s highways

Some $56.2 million have been allocated for major reconstruction of interstate highways leading to Georgia and Iran, Armenian transport and communications minister Gagik Beglaryan said at a meeting with head of World Bank program for development of road infrastructure Vikram Kothari.

YEREVAN, May 14. /ARKA/. Some $56.2 million have been allocated for major reconstruction of interstate highways leading to Georgia and Iran, Armenian transport and communications minister Gagik Beglaryan said at a meeting with head of World Bank program for development of road infrastructure Vikram Kothari.
During the meeting it was noted that the priority for the Armenian government is the repair of Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Yerevan-Sevan-Dilijan and Yerevan-Meghri roads. The transport and communications ministry said it would like the World Bank to participate in this project. -0-
