117,000 tourists visited Armenia in February: Tourist flow decreased

YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. In February 2025, Armenia was visited by 117,372 tourists, compared to 127,241 tourists in February 2024, according to the Tourism Committee.
It was previously reported that 139,482 tourists visited the country in January of this year.
The department noted that in February of this year, the largest number of tourists came from Russia (99,488 people, or 39%), Georgia (36,878 people, or 15%), and Iran (20,764 people, or 8%).
A decrease in the overall number of tourists arriving in Armenia has been observed since last year. According to Armstat, the number of foreign tourists who visited Armenia in 2024 was 2,208,179, a decrease of 4.7% compared to 2023. An analysis by the Ministry of Economy states that the decline in tourist numbers last year was mainly due to a reduction in visitors from Russia, who make up the largest share (42.5% of all arrivals, compared to 49.1% in 2023).
