Armenia has entered the top 10 most popular foreign destinations for Russians during the New Year holidays, Russian daily Izvestia reported, citing the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG).

YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. Armenia has entered the top 10 most popular foreign destinations for Russians during the New Year holidays, Russian daily Izvestia reported, citing the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG).

The top 10 also includes Uzbekistan, the UAE, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, and Italy.

The largest increase in bookings was seen in Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Hungary. Dubai's popularity grew by one and a half times.

According to the Tourism Committee, around 2.2 million tourist visits were recorded in Armenia in 2024. The top three countries from which most tourists arrive are Russia (43.1%), Georgia (13%), and Iran (8.4%).

Less than 390,000 tourists arrived in Armenia in January-March, the decline for the year is approaching 11%

In January-March 2025, 386,741 tourists visited Armenia compared to 434,425 people in the same period of 2024 (a 10.97% decline over the year), the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia reported.
