YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Egypt continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations for Armenian nationals, despite the threat of terrorist attacks. Representatives of several major travel agencies in Yerevan say that Armenian tourists ready to buy trips to Egypt.
According to travel agencies, trips to Egypt are sold well, although Armenians are warned that if they refuse the trip the cost is not refunded. Refund is possible only in case the Egyptian airspace is closed for flight.
Incidentally, Armenian foreign ministry urged citizens on November 18 to temporarily refrain from traveling to Egypt unless absolutely necessary. The statement was made after Russian Federal Security Service said the Russian plane crash in Sinai, Egypt, was caused by a terrorist attack.
The crash of the Russian A321 airliner in Egypt last month killed all 224 people on board. Most of the A321 passengers were Russian tourists flying home from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. -0
