Five star deluxe hotel classification introduced in Armenia

The National Assembly of Armenia adopted on Tuesday in the first reading amendments to the law "On tourism and tourist activities" which call for introduction of new hotel classification Five Star Deluxe.

YEREVAN, November 13. / ARKA /. The National Assembly of Armenia adopted on Tuesday in the first reading amendments to the law "On tourism and tourist activities" which call for introduction of new hotel classification Five Star Deluxe.
"Today, Armenia has a voluntary hotel classification system from 1 to 5 stars. However, in parallel with high technology development and emergence of new architectural solutions, a new class - Five Stars Deluxe - has been introduced ," deputy economy minister Ara Petrosyan said when presenting the bill.
According to him, the introduction of the new classification will stimulate investment in the hotel business.
According to the amendments to the law "On State Duty “ Five Star Deluxe hotels will pay 1.5 million drams a year as a state duty.
Today in Armenia, there are about 300 big and small hotels and inns. The majority are Yerevan, Tsakhkadzor, Sevan, Jermuk and Dilijan, Gyumri, Goris. ($ 1-409.5 drams). -0-
