The Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate has announced the completion of veterinary and phytosanitary inspections conducted at Armenian enterprises jointly with Rosselkhoznadzor.
YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. The Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate has announced the completion of veterinary and phytosanitary inspections conducted at Armenian enterprises jointly with Rosselkhoznadzor.
According to the agency's press service, the inspections were conducted from May 20 to 27 with the participation of specialists from both countries.
Following the inspections, the parties agreed to continue consistent border control and ensure the export to the Russian market of products that meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation, Alexey Shcheglov, thanked the Armenian side for the reception and cooperation in the joint work.
The final results of the inspections are planned to be published in the coming days.
Restrictions on the import of products from Armenia to Russia
Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) imposed temporary restrictions on the import of flowers and food products from Armenia on May 22 until the completion of an inspection involving Russian specialists at the invitation of the RA Food Safety Inspectorate. The regulator had previously also issued complaints regarding fruits and vegetables imported from Armenia to Russia.
Furthermore, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the import and circulation in Russia of all batches of Jermuk mineral water from Armenia, as well as wine and cognac from three Armenian producers.
