As reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the message from the head of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, to his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, highlights that "during this relatively short historical period, thanks to joint constructive and fruitful work, interstate relations between Armenia and Russia have strengthened and expanded, relying on the centuries-old friendship of our peoples."
"In the current conditions of the changing architecture of international relations, it is important to continue our partnership based on the interests of our states and for the benefit of our countries and peoples. We are focused on long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in political, socio-economic, humanitarian, and other spheres and aim to continue and expand a meaningful dialogue that fully serves the interests of our countries," Mirzoyan's message reads.
In Lavrov's congratulatory message, published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 33rd anniversary of Armenian-Russian diplomatic relations, it is noted that "this event marked the beginning of the modern stage of bilateral relations between Moscow and Yerevan. Based on common spiritual and moral values, the traditional strength of inter-sectoral and humanitarian contacts, Russia and Armenia have developed a solid contractual and legal framework, building multifaceted, equal, and mutually beneficial relations."
"Despite attempts from outside to undermine the Russian-Armenian alliance, we have managed to maintain a high level of political dialogue and foreign policy coordination, increase trade and economic cooperation both bilaterally and within the framework of a common integration space. We are ready to continue working together to further deepen and enhance the effectiveness of the partnership for the benefit of the citizens of our countries and in the interests of strengthening peace and security in the South Caucasus," Lavrov's message states.
