Armenia’s involvement in the Eurasian integration project will help Russia-Armenia cooperation in politics, trade & economy, science & technology and humanitarian fields move on to a new footing, says Russian premier Putin’s message to the Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the 23rd anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
YEREVAN, September 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s involvement in the Eurasian integration project will help Russia-Armenia cooperation in politics, trade & economy, science & technology and humanitarian fields move on to a new footing, says Russian premier Putin’s message to the Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the 23rd anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
Russia-Armenia relations are based on long-centuries’ friendship, mutual respect and cultural ties and are developing as an allied partnership, says the message.
The Russian Kremlin website cites the president as expressing confidence the countries will continue building up the ties and coordinate their efforts on the regional and international agenda for the benefit of both nations.
Armenia observed the 23rd anniversary of its independence on Sunday September 21. Ninety-nine percent of Armenia’s population voted for withdrawal from the USSR and creation of an independent state in a referendum held on that day back in 1991. –0--
